“Sharpening
Simplified” is an extremely clear and
complete piece of instruction, refreshingly
well-done without gimmicks, computer graphics
tricks, or (ugh) background music. Straight
forward information, clearly delivered. Congratulations!

I have viewed your
video. It’s super. I especially liked
the “V” tool and micro tool section.
It really is a wonderful w
ork on detail and
instruction. Whoever filmed it for you was
excellent.

I have already
tried some of your (Video) techniques with
wonderful result
s; I love the sandpaper thing
and it no longer takes hours to accomplish
a sharp tool....I’m recommending your
video to all of my carving friends.

Thank you so much
for making this video on sharpening tools.
As you stated, many of us struggle to learn
how to sharpen. I have been carving for 12
years and during that time tried to learn
how to sharpen well, with minimal success
and lots of agonizing.
After watching your video, I built a box to set on my workbench
that created the height needed and started resharpening my tools.
It was exciting to see almost instant results with your techniques.
I was particularly amazed to be able to do a good job on my “V” tools.
Thanks a million. Every woodcarver should own this tape.

My wife thought
she had been carving with sharp tools prior
to the time we met you at Ft. Meyers — but
her newly-learned Ellenwood sharpening ability
has made a huge difference in her enjoyment
and feeling of productivity! Thank you again.

This is a really
helpful video. I recently paid $70.00 for
a sharpening class at a local woodworking
store and didn’t get a fraction of
the information I got from your video. Wish
I’d heard about it earlier.

Your sharpening
video was excellent. Easy to follow and execute.
I wish I had it (the video) five years ago.
It would have saved many knives, and a lot
of frus
tration.

Thanks for the
video. I have watched it a couple of times
and find it most useful. I have “wrecked” a
good few of my tools on power buffing so
your systems look great and confirm some
of my views (especially the use of wet /dry
paper) on sharpening. Your great video has
answered a lot of my questions.

As I stated in
my short conversation with you sir, I was
spellbound by the clear and precise way you
show how to sharpen. Also, enjoyed looking
at your great carvings. Thank you again and
I’ll use this video in my classes if
you don’t mind.

Thanks for making
sharpening so believable. Your DVD is great!
We are both carvers and not good sharpeners.
Hopefully now we can do something about that!
Thanks for giving us hope that we can do
t
his!
