When the linseed oil was dry, the carving was then coated with a light spray of satin finish varnish. This is a carving done in a class I teach.
Trapper Basswood 9 inches high Acrylic paint finish I saw this knit headpiece in a photo and decided it needed a face under it.	Cougar Basswood Hair was done using a sharp tipped wood burner. Finished with acrylic paint and highlights put on by dry brushing.	Rocking Horse Butternut on oak rocker 24 inches high at head Colored areas are aniline dyes, then finishes with water-based varnish. I did two of these for my first two grandchildren.
