Over my many years of carving, teaching and selling pre-sharpened carving tools, I perfected a unique, easy to learn, sharpening technique which I’ve taught to hundreds of carvers with excellent response. My sharpening technique was so well received that my students kept telling me to make a video on sharpening. The DVD is called “Sharpening Simplified”, and with it you can be my next student.
By popular demand, I also have a DVD entitled “Beginning Woodcarving”, which is the standard teaching aid used in many carving clubs.
I have written two very successful books on woodcarving “The Complete Book of Woodcarivng”, which is in its 7th printing and has been translated into Chinese and German. My other book is “Woodcarving, Techniques and Projects for the first time Carver”.
In addition, I have written numerous articles for “Woodcarving Illustrated” and “Carving Magazine” along with having articles in the European magazine “Wood Carving”.

I’m Everett Ellenwood, and award winning carver who specializes in carving realistic human faces. A number of my carvings have won “Best of Show” awards and many have been published in various wood carving magazines. I’ve been a woodcarver for over 40 years and for the past 30 years I’ve taught all levels of carving from beginners to advanced throughout the United States. For a number of years I also did commission carving and restoration carving.
I have items throughout the United States and some foreign countries.
